NHTSA Child Passenger Safety Restraint Systems on School Buses Training

The New York Association for Pupil Transportation,  in partnership with the New York State Governor's Traffic Safety Committee, will be conducting a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Approved Child Passenger Safety  Restraint Systems on School Buses training opportunity as a pre-conference offering.  This full day training is designed to be a comprehensive guide addressing such topics as crash dynamics, and various child safety restraint systems with a focus on students with disabilities as well as emergency planning.  This training is developed for pupil transportation administrators and supervisors, school bus drivers, and school bus monitors. You will gain experience in using proper securement techniques, identifying equipment maintenance, disposal, and storage issues. During this training you will be actively installing child safety restraint systems on demonstration seats. Please dress comfortably. Class size is limited to 20 participants.

NYAPT Non-Members:  $65

Leadership Development and Certification Institute Program participants may attend this workshop at no cost through the generous sponsorship of Leonard Bus Sales, Inc.  The sponsorship will NOT cover Late Cancel or No Show fees and are the responsibility of the individual.
