NYAPT Winter Workshop Announced
It’s Back! The NYAPT Winter Workshop will be held on February 23-24, 2012, in the Albany area.
The Winter Workshop (often called Back to Basics) brings together school transportation professionals at all levels to refresh on topics related to basic operations of school transportation services.
This year’s WW12 will include a presentation on Committing to Excellence as well as a presentation called “Defining ‘the Job’” which will explore how the role of the Transportation Supervisor has changed and continues to change within the school community. Those general sessions will be followed by workshops on preventive maintenance, driver records and training, shared services, contracting techniques, special needs populations and more.
Registration for members of NYAPT will be $125 for the full Winter Workshop. Separate rates have been set for members who wish to attend only one day as well as for non-members who wish to attend.
The workshops will be held at the University at Albany–East Campus located in Rensselaer, NY, and hotel accommodations are available at several local hotels.
