The Yellow School Bus is an American Icon.
It represents safety and the best traditions of our schools and education system.

In New York State, over 2.3 million children ride a yellow school bus to and from school each day. We believe that the school bus ride should be a safe and secure ride. We believe that the school bus should be appropriately equipped and carefully maintained for safety. We believe that every school bus driver should be fully qualified, licensed and trained to perform his or her duties. We believe that it is our role as school transportation professionals to ensure that all the elements of a safe and efficient school bus ride are met at all times.

New York's Annual Conference and Trade Show is one of the largest school transportation conferences in the nation and we are pleased to welcome you to this year's program!

There is nothing at all quite like the networking and sharing that goes on at an Annual Conference.  Come join your colleagues at the Annual School Transportation Conference brought to you by the Cyr Foundation in partnership with the New York Association for Pupil Transportation.

This year's theme moving our kids toward SUCCESS, relates to the role that the school bus plays in ensuring access to education for 2.3 million New York Children and challenges us to do our very best to transport them and to be aware of their educational needs.  Our conference logo reflects that theme as will the workshops and activities we are lining up for this year's Annual Conference and Exhibit Show! All conference events including the Trade Show will take place at the Albany Marriott.

"Last year I had the opportunity to view a transportation webinar entitled “Surveillance on the Bus: Student Issues” with our Transportation Director.  I was extremely impressed with the information presented and also for the opportunity to discuss the material with a valued colleague.  It’s phenomenal that NYAPT offers these sessions via the web as it would be difficult and cost prohibitive to travel to hear about the variety of topics offered.  I would strongly recommend that interested administrators and transportation supervisors join in the webinar series.  For a nominal fee, we viewed scenarios that could easily result in significant costs to the District for those uninformed.  Thank you for offering this very worthwhile opportunity."
